(Re?) Training in Progress
I've decided to try to train Misty on her toilet habits. Took her to a vet about 2 weeks ago. I thought that she possibly had fungal infection cos there were bald patches at the inner sides of her hind legs as well as her butt area. Fortunately, vet said that it was probably due to her grooming cos those fur were matted. He also mentioned that she has bad toilet habits since young, much like not having parents to teach her where to pee.
Misty: Kiss my dirty butt!
So I wanted to get her out of her bad pee habits. At first, I tried to put her into her old cage to constrain her within a smaller area. She was terrified by that and stuck to her litterpan 100% of the time, eating and sleeping in there. I tried nudging her butt to get her off the pan but she hopped back soon after. One day of that, and when I came back in the evening, yes, she was on the pan. So no pee on the cage base. I had to put her back into the cage else she might just forget how to hop. Haaa.Anyways, next morning, yes 2 pools of pee again. So this attempt failed. I'm now reducing the size of her playpen by placing one panel midway into the square such that she has a much smaller area. Let's see how this works before I move to panel back to a bigger area.
Misty: Don't cage me please...
