Roaming At Home

On weekends she will do her usual grooming, drinking of water, occasional nips on the hay that she has. I was looking at her and trying to interact with her by putting my hand out. She sniffs a little and I think she's hoping to get some pellets.

Managed to try cradling her like a baby. She was rather calm about it. Of cos I think having a towel helped abit. Her little paws were so cute. *Kuchi kuchi*

Misty: She said I'm cute again...

Weekends

Letting her out on weekends can be fun to watch =D
Let's just enjoy what she does.

She will first go towards the main door walkway. Once she's there, she will stretch upwards and sniff the area. Even my shoe cabinet... *ewww

Next, she will circle around her cage, squeezing into her favourite spot - behind the cage.

Misty: Smells like home.

Lastly, she enjoys peeping into the cage. Perhaps because it smells familiar. After hopping for awhile, i will turn the cage sideways so that she doesn't squeeze thru the back of it. Then she will hop in.

Sleepy Day

Just a short update for what happened today. I managed to witness Misty yawning! Sorry, no pics to prove what i saw. =P I saw her jaw open, and her cute pink tongue. She was in her litter pan trying very hard to fight the z monster while i sat in front of her cage, keeping silent and trying not to make any large movements. I wanted to watch her fall asleep.

There were indeed a couple of times in the afternoon when she dozed off as her eyes slowly shut and her head lowering. There was this one time when she dozed off and almost fell off her litter pan! Hahahaha.. i was controlling my laughter.. =D There were also a few snore-like sounds during her ordeal of struggling to keep awake. Hee.. cute.

A new discovery today and it was really fun watching her. I hope that her yawning in front of me means she has let down her guard a little. *hope* I will try to take pics of her yawning if possible but I bet the sound of the camera shutter will wake her. Hmm.

Settling Down

Well, it's been about a month since Misty came. Time does fly. She does seem to settle quite well. Of course, she has her tempers and does not like to be disturbed when she doesn't want to. Here's how she will look like typically after having a few bites. Not me of course, i'm talking about food. =

Where she sits in these 2 pictures, she will also pee and poo around there. Sigh. Tough to get her to do those only in her litter pan. Will persevere and try and try and try..

Here are 2 more pics of her in her litter pan. I'm still thinking of whether to get her a bigger litter pan and place all the food in it. Hmm.. ponders..

When she's not hungry, she will just sit around until she's hungry again and will nip abit of the food once in awhile. She doesn't really gobble down all the food but all of it will be gone by the next morning. When i turn off the lights, she gets into action and i saw her nibbling the food more readily without me staring in her face.

Exploration

It's been 3 weeks since Misty came. I think she's getting a little more comfortable as the days go by but of cos there are times when she's still very cautious. She gets to hop around the hall once a week and a smaller area on 2 other days when I clean up her cage. She definitely prefers the hall since it's much bigger. I noticed that she likes capsicum (green) and of cos her all time favourite - pellets.

Here's a visual representation of what she does when she's out. She likes to hang around her cage. I guess it's because that's her "home" and the smells there are familiar to her.

She's rather obedient at times but she does throw tantrums too! Today's job of getting her back to her cage was rather easy. Just a few shoos and she went back herself. *pat pat*
